FIDUCITATIONS
- A NEW TYPE OF WEB SYNTHESIS REPORT
A Fiducitation is a new type of research report
invented by Fiducité. A
Fiducitation is a professional synthesis of published resources on a key
industry topic, including:
- A synopsis of the topic
written by Fiducité Guides,
- Citations on the topic
from qualified sources, primarily Internet sources.
Each citation in a Fiducitation
generally has four parts: Annotation, Clip, Source, and Cached File.
The Annotation explains the significance of the citation. The Clip is
a text or graphic excerpt to help you decide whether to view the complete
cited document, which can then be viewed by clicking on the Source URL
or the embedded Cached File. All information is attributed to its source.
Most sources are derived from public or private, non-copyrighted Internet
sites, although Fiducité will perform primary research or personal interviews
for selected topics.
There are two types of Fiducitations:
Shared and Custom. Shared Fiducitations are sponsored by Fiducité and available to all Fiducité clients.
Custom or "On-Demand" Fiducitations are requested by a specific
client, who retains the exclusive rights to that Fiducitation.

Fiducité's
"on-demand" Custom Fiducitations allow us to address our customers'
most critical knowledge needs, including:
- Competitor Strategy:
Want to know what a competitor is up to
as revealed through the comments and references on the web? We can
find what they won't tell you.
- Markets: Which
are the attractive financial markets of today and tomorrow? Which
institutions are the leaders - and the laggards? We make this visible
through our selection of just the right sources
- Customers' Feelings:
Many customers reveal their feelings and behavior
on the web. Through synthesis and analysis we can tell you what they
like - don't like - and intend to do tomorrow.
- Back Office Needs:
The costs and needs of back office operations
are often cryptic. We delve into minutiae to extract just the right
citations for understanding back office jargon.
- Issues and Debates:
Who's for and against key industry issues and
initiatives is usually obscured by the tide of rhetoric. But, using
our parsing abilities, we tell you what they're really saying on the
web - and on both side of the issue.
- Trends: Trying
to understand what the key trends are and why? Want to know where
they'll end up? Our web synthesis reaches deep into the web to find
all the relevant information.
- Industry Suppliers: The
industry has as many suppliers today as players - and all of them
have munificent brochures. We help you out of this nightmare by finding
the published facts about vendors and their products.
- Statistics: The
web is a potential goldmine of statistics, estimates, and data. We
find it for you and bring it together in a coherent storyline - and
we get you all the aspects, not just one person's view.
- Forecasting: Everyone
has a view of the future but few readers can assemble a consensus
among the varying visions. We find all the gurus and prognosticators
for you and bring it together. Then you decide with maximum information.
- Channels: A
narrow definition of the industry leads too many firms to ignore or
misunderstand the role of channels. We help you take the true measure
of channels by ferreting out only that which really matters.
- Regulatory/Legal:
It's easy to get lost in the maze of regulations
and laws freely available on the internet. We drill down for what
really matters to your issue and put it in a context you can understand.
- Case Studies: Few
things are as valuable, yet as hard to find. The web has them, but
without a synthesis of good sources filtered with a jaundiced eye,
not much is learned. We help you get there.
Last,
the web covers the globe. Material for banks in Asia can be discovered
almost as easily as for brokerages in the US. But, issues and situations
differ. We cover the globe as needed or to bore down on a particular
country or region.
